Navigate to a document in the Google Docs, that you want to edit.

Click and highlight the portion of text that you want to strike out.

Once your text is selected, click "Format" from the options along the top of your window.

Click "Strikethrough" in the "Text" menu.

See the result - your text is crossed out.

Alternatively, for a faster way to apply this effect, you can use a keyboard shortcut.
With your text highlight, press:
cmd + shift + x

This will also apply the Strikethrough effect, and it is much quicker than navigating through the menus.
