Teatspraying helps prevent mastitis and maintains healthy teat skin condition. Teatspray is a disinfectant and emollient.

The emollient helps keep the skin soft and crack free ( especially when it’s wet ). Bacteria can live in the cracks! And it hurts cows when you milk dry, cracked teats.
The disinfectant kills any bacteria on the teat eg from the last cow milked ( called cross contamination) or from the environment.
Teatspray as soon as possible after the cups come off.

It’s super important that you get full coverage of ALL teats.
Some sheds have automatic teatspraying systems.
If doing it manually it's important you do it in a circular motion like this. It's REALLY IMPORTANT you cover the whole teat including the front.
EVERY TEAT, EVERY MILKING!!
