Stuffing/ Loading The Container.

How to stuff/ load the closed top container with different products. This includes how to use slings to crane the stillages or products, to balance/spread the weight throughout the container and use of green strapping to strap down the product and stillges to the container walls.

Tools required: Purple slings [3 meters and 4 meters], green plastic strap and strapper, crane and forklift.

Get 8 meters of the green strap and weave it through the loops of the container.

<p>Grab the two blue wheelie bins, one will hold 3 meter long slings and the other 4 meter long slings. If there are no more slings in the bins, see the store person.</p>

Using the purple slings, place it under the stilage and bring it up and over the stilage, repeat on both ends.

Using the forklift see how much the item weighs.

Using the crane lift the stilage and check the weight of the stilage and write it down, then lift the stilage into the container.

When placing the stilage in the container make sure the green straps are not under the feet of the stilage.

Move the stilage as close to the walls as possible, without hitting them.

Place blue short Top-bars across the stilage on both ends.

Move the next stillage in.

When putting straps on Mesh, go four across and three up, drop your sling through the holes, then grab it from underneath, bring it back to the top, loop one end through the other one and tighten.

Using the strapper, tighten the green straps on the stilage. This will hold the stillage down and to the walls of the container.

Take photos of the stilages and continue doing this through out packing the container.

Bring in the mesh.

To make things easier use the forklift to lift, items up so you can put a sling around it.

Depending on the product and weight of the pack, you can use 1 sling in the center or 2 slings.

Packing the container is like playing tetris, trying to figure out where to put everything and figuring out if it will fit. Also, keep in mind the weight distribution in the container.

Using the hoops on the container, loop the green strap through the hoop and around the items and tighten with the strapper.

Anything that is fragile make sure to to put the fragile tape on it. This will avoid strapping down hard when it goes onto a truck in NZ for delivery.

<p>Ensure all the stillages are either strapped to the container to pull it down, or to walls. If there are any loose products, they will move and will be damaged. Take photos on your phone to keep track of items, show what condition they are in and to show how the container is packed. This photos will be needed later to upload onto SharePoint. Container is now stuffed/ loaded. Take a final photo before starting the process of Closing the container.</p>
