Using and allen key, loosen the bolts on the cross bar you wish to remove.

For best results:

• Ensure the allen key is correct size for the bolt head.

• Ensure the allen key is seated in the bolt head fully.

• While applying downward force on the bolt head, apply a firm anticlockwise force. Sometimes a quick 'crack' motion will help to break the loctite.

Using Heat: If the bolt still won't budge, i.e. if blue loctite has been used, heat can be applied to the bolt for 30 - 60 seconds using a soldering iron or gas match.

Ensure the threads are installed in line with the bolts.

Position the cross bar loosely in the desired position. 

Secure the bolts hand tight

Tighten the bolt with by hand using an allen key taking care not to overtighten.
