Treat Pinkeye

Step 1 of 7
Once the pinkeye has been identified and the animal secured in the crush, administer a long-acting antibiotic (Alamycin LA or Bivatop) as directed by the manufacturer.

Inject short-acting antibiotic (Alamycin SA) into the tissue between the eye socket and eyeball
- 1mL for calves/R1s
- 2mL for R2s/cows.

Apply Enduro Dry Cow to the infected eye.

Step 4 of 7
Apply glue to the edges of a denim patch.

Step 5 of 7
Spray the centre of the patch with an Alamycin antibiotic spray.

Carefully place a patch over the infected eye, applying gentle pressure so the glue adheres.

Put animal back in herd the patch will fall off naturally, or gently pull it off after 14 days. The denim patch is 100% cotton so will allow the eye to breathe.
