To close the gate, you grab the chain and put it under the bar.

Putting the chain under the bar prevents the gate from sagging.

You then lift the gate, and hook it on the latch.

There should be pressure on the chain to hold the gate up.

This prevents the gate from pulling the post over. We do not want the post leaning.
