This is required when the track become too loose, and it “Skips” or “Jumps” over the drive wheel.
Over time, tracks tend to stretch, so this is required from time to time.
Tools Required: • Hydraulic jack • 2 x 3/4” Spanners
Use jack to “take up the load” between the jacking points
Remove rear locking bolts.
Nut and spring washer are on inside
Note: Usually you will need to play with the pressure of your jack, either pushing a little harder (or less) to wiggle the bolts out
Repeat for inside
Loosen mid track bolts
(Don’t take off, just loosen them)
Note: One on inside and one on outside of track
Now we are ready to adjust the track.
Pump the jack to stretch the track tighter
Pump jack until bolts fit into next tighter hole
Yellow arrow was the original hole, red arrow is the new hole.
The track is now held tighter in the red hole
Loosen and remove jack
Refit washer and nut, and Re-Tighten
Note: There is one on the inside, and one on the outside
Retighten mid track bolts
Note: There is one on the inside, and one on the outside
Done!
