To generate a knowby with AI, click "Create" → "Generate with AI" and upload a video (MP4, MOV, AVI, max 500MB).


How AI Works:

  • Analyses videos with an English voice-over to detect key actions and instructions.
  • Extracts steps based on transitions and pauses in speech.
  • Generates step text and selects relevant video fragments for each step.

Tips for Best Results:

✅ Use a full instructional video with an English voice-over (avoid short clips).

✅ Speak clearly and pause between actions.

The generation time depends on the video length, typically taking up to 30 seconds.

AI creates step-by-step instructions using the transcript and video context, identifying logical steps based on visual changes and speech patterns.


Once the AI completes the process, you’ll receive a notification. The knowby card will update from an animated preview to a regular knowby with a cover image, title, description, and steps.

Once the AI-generated knowby is ready, you can review AI’s suggestions by viewing the knowby and editing it if needed.

To start editing your AI-generated knowby, click the "Edit" button.


Customiіation Options:

  • Choose a Cover Image – Select from 10 AI-generated covers taken from the video.
  • Merge Steps – If a step is too short or you want a longer one, use "Merge step with above/below".
  • Duplicate a Step – Copy a step, including its video fragment and text for further adjustments.
