TC - Completing Vehicle Road Tests

How to perform road tests on vehicles ready for final QC to verify common issues found with electrical systems including Radars/BLIS system, reverse sensors, reverse camera, front camera etc

Step 1 of 13

Obtain complete vehicle, complete a full walk around to check completed - no loose tools, fasteners, paperwork etc that could come loose

Step 2 of 13

Check vehicle license plate, valid registration and/or current road user charges

Step 3 of 13

CQC: If vehicle is not registered in NZ, obtain yellow dealer plate from key lock box and display inside windscreen

Step 4 of 13

Power cycle vehicle by locking, unlocking, starting vehicle then stoping vehicle and locking

Repeat 3 times

Step 5 of 13

Check drivers' pedals are free from obstruction and are unimpeded, all footwell trim are back in correct places and properly secured.

<p>For NZ Site:<br>Drive vehicle around building to exit gate, turn left then anticlockwise around Reta Cres - ensure to hit 50km/h</p><p></p><p>Escalate and investigate any squeaking, creaking, or knocking sounds </p>

For NZ Site:

<p>For AU Site:<br>Drive vehicle to the ends of Dunn Rd, then to the roundabout on Anderson Rd, then return back to site - ensure to hit 50km/h</p><p></p><p>Escalate and investigate any squeaking, creaking, or knocking sounds</p>

Check display for any alerts relating to BLIS system, reverse brake assist, traffic assist alerts etc

Step 9 of 13

Reverse vehicle checking for full camera picture, camera alignment, reverse sensor operation, image mirror and no errors displayed

Shown the camera needs realignment

Step 10 of 13

Camera realignment complete and acceptable

Step 11 of 13

Return vehicle and ensure no alerts present - escalate any issues for resolution

Step 12 of 13

Complete a vehicle walk around inspecting body/tray, underbody components, sensors and other accessories for tightness/anything that may have come loose during road test

Step 13 of 13

Sign QC Form once passed
