Note: the video has not yet been updated to match the final product. The left and right side of the wrap are flipped in the video, so the text is most accurate.
Lift a central unit of stock and tuck the top edge of the wrap with the white signage underneath it.
Unfurl the wrap clockwise around the load, ensuring you keep the wrap a few centimetres above the top edge of the pallet whilst doing so.
Ensure that the two bars at each end of the wrap are equally central. The base straps will not fit otherwise.
Tuck the left side of the wrap beneath the right side, then hold the wrap at height by pressing against the right side bar.
Attach the 2nd highest buckle through the back of the square ring. Tension the strap firmly, then attach the remaining straps. If the loose ends of the straps are considered a hazard, slide the plastic strap keeper across and tuck the tail into the storage loop.
Note: do not feed the strap through the square ring; just the buckle part. Ensure the plastic strap keeper is clear of the buckle before applying.
Apply the front and rear base strap by sliding them under the pallet, feeding them through the angled metal ring and attaching them back onto themselves.
Throw the top strap over the load before applying it to the opposite side.
Place any paperwork in the document pouch and ensure the wrap is uniform and tight.
REMOVAL: undo the base straps and return them to the velcro patches. Remove the top strap and throw it back over the load.
REMOVAL: Twist the buckles anticlockwise to remove the front straps.
REMOVAL: FAST METHOD IF THE WRAP IS STILL ON THE LOAD
Lean the logo side of the wrap against the load or tuck the top edge of the wrap back under a carton. From the opposite side, fold the wrap twice at arms width before removing it. Laying it on the ground with the logo facing down, roll the wrap from the 'roll' end towards the logo end, and close the velcro tab.
REMOVAL: IF THE LOAD HAS ALREADY BEEN REMOVED
Move the wrap to a clear space and face the logo down, with the wrap spread flat. Holding the end that says 'roll', fold the wrap into thirds. Then roll from the 'roll' end towards the logo, and close the velcro tab.
CLEANING:
Cleaning requirements depend on the application. If there is no direct food contact, our general recommendations are:
When to clean:
When dirt visibly rubs off on your hands,
immediately after spills occur, or
on the same schedule as your other reusable assets (such as plastic pallets).
How to clean:
For light dirt: Hang wraps outside and hose them off (use a pressure washer if available).
For heavier soiling: scrub wraps with mild detergent and a brush.
For food-safety compliant cleaning protocols or efficient high-volume cleaning solutions, please contact Bearhug directly.
Drying:
Hang in direct sunlight for quick drying, or
hang indoors (such as over racking) where they'll dry in 24-48 hours.
REPAIR:
Separate damaged wraps, especially if the damage prevents safe and effective use of the wraps.
Bearhug will repair wraps free of charge within the 2 year (pallet wraps, keg wraps) or 1 year (other products) warranty period.
Wraps can also be repaired for $20 per unit (ex-freight) beyond this warranty period, which is recommended as more cost effective than purchasing more wraps new.
RECYCLING:
Bearhug wraps can also be recycled after use.
This costs $1.50 per kg, with more information available here:
