Position the cobot

Use a pallet jack to wheel the cobot to the conveyor outfeed.

👷 Safety: Operator must wear steel-toe shoes and understand how to use the pallet jack safely.

Connect the power

Plug the CRX-25iA into a standard single-phase power socket. Three-phase power is not required.

Connect air supply

Attach the pneumatic air hose to a 6-bar compressor air supply to power the robot’s suction cups.

👷 Safety: During palletising workers may choose to wear earplugs to reduce exposure to compressed air noise, although it is not loud.

Attach the sensor

Secure the proximity switch to detect pails or boxes at the end of the conveyor. Connect the sensor cable.

☑️ Check: Confirm that the left sensor light illuminates green to show it has power, and that the right illuminates orange when a pail or box reaches the end of the conveyer before proceeding.

Touch-up pickup position

Use the teach pendant to touch-up the robot's pickup position.

💡 Tip: Do not fight against momentum when positioning the head of the robot.

Place the pallets in position

Use the teach pendant to touch-up the robot's pickup position.

Select or create a palletising recipe

If already created, select the palletising recipe from the list and start running. If it does not existing, then robot training will be required to create a new recipe.

Next steps

Position the receiving pallet at the cobot's side. Before beginning the final production run, conduct 'first-off' and 'second-off' tests. Make any necessary adjustments to the pallet, sensors, or pickup position.
