Canopy Dog Door Vent Installation

This process will show you how to install a dog doorvent on a Canopy. Ensure techniques and important steps are followed.

Step 1 of 9

Take the door vent parts out from the box and ensure all parts are in a pair and complete.

Parts:
2x Lock Strike LH
2x Lock Strike RH
2x PRT-005096L
2x PRT-005096R

Fitting Kit:
4x M8 Fender Washer
4x M8 Spring Washer
4x M8 Medium Washer
4x M8 Nyloc Nut
4x TK-M8x25

<p>Install the washers into the wing knobs in the order shown. <br><br>(5) M8 Medium Washer <br>(6) M8 Spring Washer<br>(4) M8 Fender Washer <br></p>

Install the washers into the wing knobs in the order shown.

Assemble the lock strike and door ajar base using the pre-assembled wing knobs. Repeat for both sets.

<p>Ensure that the <strong>curve</strong> for both lock strike and door ajar base is facing the same way. </p>

Step 5 of 9

Remove the existing lock strikes from the side doors of the canopy. Repeat on all sides.

Do not throw away the fasteners as you are going to re-use them for the next step.

Step 6 of 9

Re-use the same fasteners to install the door ajar base as shown. Repeat on all sides.

Once the door ajar base is installed, ensure the lock strike is twisted out of the way.

Step 7 of 9

Close the door and check if the door locks. Adjust as required. Repeat on both sides.

Step 8 of 9

To test the lock strike, align the lock strike with the door ajar base and tighten the wing knob to lock in place.

Close the door and ensure the door is locking completely.

Step 9 of 9

Test the door few times to ensure it is closing/locking properly. Repeat on both sides.

Once happy, twist the lock strike out of the way of the door again.
