How to use:
1. Click Create button
2. Select "Generate with AI" option.
3. Upload a video file you would like to convert into a knowby

AI generates step-by-step instructions using the transcript and video context and breaks the video into logical steps based on changes in visuals and speech patterns.

Once ready, you will get a notification that your knowby was generated.

Review AI’s suggestions and edit if needed.

New Knowby Edit Screen! The intuitive editing interface makes modifications effortless, with tools for adjusting text, media, and structure without disrupting the flow.

To start editing your knowby, click on the Edit button.

You are able to add and reorder steps, replace or upload new images and videos and edit them in Knowby.

Say goodbye to lost progress! With Autosave, every change you make is instantly stored, so you never have to worry about losing important updates. Knowby ensures your work is always safe - no manual saving is needed!

How it works:
1. Open a knowby to create or edit.
2. As you type or upload content, Knowby automatically saves every change.
3. A small loading mask appears to confirm your work is stored.

If you accidentally close the tab or lose connection, your progress is saved in a draft knowby when you return.

Edit your photo and video files with a media built-in editor.

Once you upload a file to a step, you can:
- crop it horizontally and vertically (16x9, 3x4, square etc.);
- annotate (add lines, figures and text);
- and even attach stickers.

Step text supports a range of formatting styles:
- 4 heading sizes;
- code blocks;
- bold, italic, strikethrough;
- blockquotes;
- numbered and bulleted lists;
- hyperlinks.

Work smarter, day or night. Knowby’s Dark Mode offers a sleek, comfortable viewing experience that reduces eye strain and enhances focus—perfect for long work sessions and late-night problem-solving.

How to enable:
1. Go to My Account
2. Look for the Theme button.
3. Choose whether Knowby uses a light theme, a dark theme, or matches your device’s settings automatically.

Tip: Your preference is saved automatically, so Knowby will always open in your chosen mode.

Go full focus with Full Screen Mode! Eliminate distractions and dive into a clean, immersive experience that keeps your knowbys clear and actionable — so you can get things done faster.

How to enable:
1. Open any knowby.
2. Click the Full-Screen button (expand icon in the bottom-right corner).
3. Your guide will now fill the entire screen.
4. Navigate between steps by clicking on arrow buttons or using keyboard's left and right arrows.
5. Press Esc or click the Exit Full-Screen button to return to normal view.
